LINCOLN – Following an impressive winter season where all 10 Husker sports scored at the national level, Nebraska Athletics is ranked seventh nationally in the Learfield Directors Cup standings released Thursday, April 25.

The Huskers, who notched their first top-10 ranking at the end of the winter season since 2013-14 when they were ninth (638.00), produced their highest point total in the Learfield Directors Cup rankings since the turn of the century with 672.25 points, trailing only the 754 points through the winter season scored by the 1999-2000 Huskers.

Nebraska’s seventh-place standing at the conclusion of the winter season is its best in the Learfield Directors Cup since closing the winter of 2009-10 in sixth with 617.25 points. The Huskers amassed 509.25 points across the winter season with contributions at the national level from every sport, marking the first time in at least 20 years that every NU winter sport scored at the NCAA level in the Directors Cup rankings.

Nebraska capped the winter season with 80 points for a fourth-place NCAA finish from its historically powerful men’s gymnastics program. Five Husker men’s gymnasts combined for 10 All-America awards at the championship. The Husker women’s gymnastics team added 53.75 points for its 17th-place NCAA finish.
